This incense burner was wheel-thrown and made by hand for burning incense, palo santo, and sage. Each of these pieces comes with a bundle of sagebrush that was handpicked and wrapped by me in Taos, New Mexico.

Pit firing is a traditional low-temperature firing technique that essentially entails covering up your pots with combustible materials and burning a fire on top for several hours to achieve some really cool atmospheric effects. These pieces are made from red micaceous clay mined near Albuquerque, New Mexico.
